Grant Description

The Forest Service continued to provide partial support for a long-term research project studying the effects of forest fires on carbon cycling, emissions, and forest sustainability.

Partners include the Canadian Forest Service in collaboration with the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science in Novosibirsk and the Sukachev Institute in Krasnoyarsk. NASA funds the majority of this research, with additional contributions from USFS Research.
