Grant Description

The USFS was the technical PI on a USAID MERC project in Jordan, West Bank, Israel, Turkey and the US.

The project involved assessing the efficacy of monitoring techniques on various management protocols in research watershed plots in each country.

The State Department provided additional funding for supplemental study projects that the USFS administered in Jordan, West Bank and Israel. The USFS funded Turkey's participation in the MERC Study by funding supplemental research programs in FY 05.
