Trade Promotion Authority Legislation Consult

Activities to consult with the Peruvian government on the drafting of further implementing regulations, and to support a series of five outreach presentations conducted by the Peruvian Ministry of Agriculture for local government authorities, agricultural producers and industry representatives in different regions of the country.

The consultants hired would focus on regulations of interest to the U.S., including food safety, the animal and plant health agency, and biotechnology to help ensure that the eventual regulations are based on sound science and international norms. These activities would support the USDA/FAS goal of expanding the global agricultural trading.
