Grant Description

This bi-annual meeting serves as a forum to expand discussions on agricultural biotechnology, namely biosafety regulation coordination, information exchange and technical capacity building between both countries.

In addition to the High Level Meetings that occurred in China and the U.S., both sides gathered for technical workshops in Hawaii and Shanghai to discuss risk assessment for cotton and rice.

This program is coordinated by the International Cooperation and Development Division and the FAS Biotechnology Group, in conjunction with the Emerging Markets Office.
