BRITISH COLUMBIA CIJV & PCJV PRG

This proposal focuses on securement, enhancement and management of wetland and associated upland habitats that are critical to maintaining the Pacific Coast Joint Venture (PCJV) and of the Canadian Intermountain Joint Venture (CIJV) region's breeding, staging and wintering waterfowl populations.

Securement activities include the perpetual protection of 213 acres; fee simple acquisition of 21 acres (20 acres of wetlands and 1 acres of uplands) and conservation easements placed on 192 acres of uplands.

Enhancement activities will take place on 113 acres (comprised of 4 acres of wetlands, and 109 acres of uplands) and includes the installation of cattle fencing.

Management will occur on 6,504 acres (1,355 wetland and 5,149 upland) and..includes activities like ongoing management planning; wetland ecosystem health maintenance; infrastructure maintenance; property taxes.
