The purpose of this project is to organize and conduct a training workshop for professionals from 3 tiger range countries at a suitable location in India.
This train the trainers workshop is intended to help develop much needed capacity among tiger/wildlife biologists to understand and address the impacts of linear infrastructure projects, so that they can be better prepared to address this new, very serious emerging threat to the long-term demographic viability of tiger populations.
Trainees will be selected from Bhutan, India, and Nepal. Expert road ecologists from the U.S.A. (USG and partners) will provide the training.
