Grant Description

MBTA Gulf Spill funds will be used to perpetually protect of 1,198 acres (comprised of 190 acres of wetlands and 1,008 acres of uplands) in the Quill Lakes Area of South-Central Saskatchewan.

Enhancement activities will take place on 910 acres (190 acres of wetlands and 720 acres of uplands) and will consist of cattle fencing and the installation of cattle watering infrastructure.

All activities will conserve and improve habitat conditions for migratory birds and specifically species that were impacted by the BP Oil spill.
