Grant Description

The purpose of this project is to reduce habitat fragmentation caused by linear infrastructures for long.term tiger survival through detailed knowledge of tiger movement, space use and behavior in response to.road infrastructure.

The objectives are as follows: (1) generate scientific knowledge on effects of roads on.tigers and other wildlife of Nepal in order to develop effective road mitigation strategies at the policy.level; and (2) facilitate a policy dialogue to construct wildlife-friendly infrastructures using the best.available data.
