Grant Description

Jordan - Water Network Restructuring And Rehabilitation - Water Smart Homes Activity: The WSH Activity is designed to improve the condition of home water systems and enhance the benefits that households, particularly poor households, gain from increases in the effective supply of water in Zarqa Governorate.

The WSH Activity consists of the following two subactivities: the WSH Outreach Campaign (designed to disseminate information on techniques for cleaning water storage tanks and properly maintaining home water systems, along with the benefits of regular maintenance, to households in the geographic areas targeted by the Infrastructure Investment Activity) and the WSH Direct Assistance Program (designed to provide technical and financial assistance to poor households in Zarqa Governorate for critical improvements in their home systems for water storage, water delivery and sanitation, in exchange for certain cost-sharing fees).
