To support the documentation of selected dance rituals and games of the geographically isolated Baka. Logging and deforestation have pushed the Cameroonian Baka from their ancestral homelands. As groups have dispersed and elders have died, traditional dances have become less prevalent.
The project combines video recording and photographic documentation of performances, along with choreographic transcription and movement notation, as preservation measures.
