Grant Description

To support the preservation of the cultural heritage in the Lago District in Niassa.

The project will record oral histories, and establish conditions for preventive conservation of collections and public accessibility.

The region's heritage is a unique mixture of Bantu, Swahili, Portuguese, German, Christian, and Muslim traditions that have gone almost entirely undocumented.
