To support the documentation of three rare forms of traditional Khmer music.
The traditional art formsinstrumental funerary, classical wedding, and melodic recitation (smot) chantinghave ancient Cambodian origins and occupy a central place in Khmer cultural life.
This project involves the documentation and audiovisual recording of traditional chants throughout Cambodia and the placement of the recordings on permanent deposit at libraries and resource centers nationwide.
