Grant Description

To support the documentation and assessment of Greco-Roman and other archaeological sites in the Cyrenaica region of eastern Libya.

A collaboration between Oberlin College in Ohio and the Libyan Department of Antiquities, this project continues work begun under previous Ambassadors Fund grants and supports a comprehensive program of mapping, documentation, and risk assessment in and around the Greco-Roman site of Cyrene, one of the most culturally significant ruin complexes in the world.
