To support documentation of the 18th-century Balaji Ghat river front in Varanasi, the only pavilion serving multiple faiths on the banks of the Ganges River in Varanasi.
Architecturally one of the most significant structures in the city, the stone and wood building suffers from water damage, decay, and pressures from illegal residents and tourists.
The project involves assessment, photo documentation, archival research, and other activities in preparation for the buildings eventual restoration.
