Grant Description

The reserve includes remains of several ancient buildings and monuments that once formed part of Grikumbhila, a large Buddhist monastery active from its foundation in the 2nd century BCE through the early 13th century. This project involves the comprehensive documentation of known ancient monuments within the boundaries of the reserve.
