Grant Description

One of Asia's longest and oldest major trade routes, the Grand Trunk Road links Central Asia and the Indian subcontinent, from Afghanistan to Bangladesh.

This project, which focuses on the segment between Agra and Lahore, involves the documentation of 60 monuments at 15 historic sites in India and Pakistan, the collection of oral histories from local communities, and the creation of an online digital platform for sharing the documentation.
