Documentation of Ancient Ceremonial Sites of the Pre-Columbian Ulwa Culture in the Municipality of Muelle de los Bueyes

Ancient Pre-Columbian objects uncovered at nine archaeological sites in Muelle de los Bueyes lack proper documentation or assessment.

This project, which includes the compilation of site and collections inventories, directly supports the U.S. embassys efforts to engage with the Autonomous Region of South Caribbean Coast.

It also supports the treaty between the United States and Nicaragua concerning the looting and illicit trafficking of Nicaraguan cultural property.
