Preservation of the Cultural Landscape of Koutammakou, the Land of the Batammariba

A remarkable cultural landscape of earthen dwellings and traditional practices straddling the border between Benin and Togo, Koutammakou faces many threats, from rising poverty to loss of biodiversity.

This project includes a number of activities to reduce human pressure on the cultural landscape and increase the resources available for conservation.
