Grant Description

Indonesia is home to 700 local languages, of which 200 are considered endangered.

This project involves the documentation of two local languagesMakassarese and Banjareseby engaging each speaker community in co-producing digital platforms (wikis) that can serve as dictionaries and cultural encyclopedias for public use.
