Project Vision/Summary
AUTTO is a SaaS no-code process, document and knowledge automation platform originally designed for the Legal sector. As Autto reacted to changes in COVID-19 we have extended our market focus, initially opportunistically, to SMEs in the UK's Services sector. This has provided the project's motivation to further develop our product to meet the needs of this targeted sector.
Market Opportunity
The World Economic Forum has stated that the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of automation and that 57% of UK businesses surveyed are accelerating the automation of tasks. The Global Workflow Automation Market is forecast to reach US$18.45Bn by 2023 with a CAGR of 23.56%. This is currently heavily weighted towards the Enterprise market with little research on automation adoption in SME's.
Autto's initial target market is the 245,000 UK SMEs with between 10 and 250 employees, that make up 5% of the UK SME population but 78% of SME turnover and 68% of SME employment (BEIS Business Population Estimates, 2018). Business Model
Autto is a Software-as-a-Service subscription business. Customers pay an annual or monthly subscription for access to the service, consulting and training fees. We intend to implement this model to the SME market via the MSP Channel. Development Approach
The goal of this 12-month, industrial research project is to undertake business analysis, research and development and pre-commercialisation activities with both potential SME customers and a pilot group of partners. We have identified 3 technology areas to enable us to service the SME market: Improved tables-based automations and file storage
Improved flexibility in integrations capabilities Management dashboards for customers and distribution channels.
