The future of mobility is electric, and it's time to make progress. We aim to put an electric vehicle within reach of everyone and, for us at Maeving, that means electric motorcycles.

The UK government mandates that 100% of car and van sales by 2030 must be electric. OEMs are now anticipating the inevitable extension to Powered-Two-Wheelers (PTW); in which electric adoption currently sits at an underwhelming 1.4%. Why is it so low?

Because existing manufacturers are focusing on the high-end market, looking to outshine petrol rivals by harnessing the competitive performance characteristics of electric powertrains. The result is a stream of prohibitively expensive motorcycles, all reliant on a charging infrastructure that doesn't yet exist. To consider an electric motorcycle, you'll need a healthy income, and a garage with plug-in charging -- making it's a non-sensical option for the majority of city-dwellers.

The reality is that the biggest barrier to electric adoption, range-anxiety, can be solved with solutions other than bigger batteries and more charging points. In the low-power world of
