Grant Description

According to a news release from the Embassy of China in Myanmar, from November 18 to 22, 2019, the Chinese Embassy hosted a new media training course for Burmese officials in Beijing.

During the seminar, 10 officials from Myanmar Ministry of Information went to see the headquarters of Chinese media companies such as People's Daily, China International Publishing House, and Global Network, and visited the Big Data Center of Communication University of China and Huawei's Beijing exhibition hall, and exchanged views with Chinese scholars on new media capacity building.

During the visit they also visited the China-ASEAN Center.

The officials stated that the training deepened their understanding of the development of new media in China, which will help promote exchanges and cooperation in the media field between the two countries.
