Digitalization for the win-win? Conflicts of interests in the household electricity market

The overall aim of this project is to improve knowledge about electricity services that use digital technologies to overcome the potential conflicts of interest between decarbonization, company profits and households.

The project consists of eight case studies and will compare new electricity services from incumbent and start-up companies aimed to encourage households to contribute more flexibility to the European electricity system.

The Energy Agency deems that the project has the potential to contribute with new knowledge within a relevant field of energy research.
