Burying problems? Imaginaries of carbon capture and storage in Scandinavia

The aim of the project is to examine imaginaries of carbon capture and storage (CCS) in Scandinavian energy systems and to analyze the various opportunities, contradictions, and trade-offs that characterize these different imaginaries.

To do this, the project maps relevant documents, media discourse and stakeholders to identify the various imaginaries, conducts a critical analysis of the imaginaries together with stakeholders and the general public and create policy recommendations that serve to empower policymakers to make informed decisions on CCS use and implementation.
