Technical innovation contest for energy monitoring systems

Smart and user-friendly tools for energy monitoring facilitate the process of energy controlling, increase awareness of energy use at different levels and in different roles and contribute to achieving the organization's own energy efficiency goals by identifying where the potential for energy savings lies.

Property owners within the Swedish Energy Agency's networks Belok and BeBo have previously requested the development of better energy monitoring systems and tools so those match their needs.

The aim of this project is to stimulate and accelerate the development of digital tools and functions that make it easier for property owners to control their energy use. A technical innovation contest takes place. This is based on an accurate requirements specification which is the result of a dialogue with property owners. Suppliers of tools for energy monitoring have the opportunity to develop and optimize their energy monitoring systems based on those requirements.
