Measuring the energy consumption at construction sites

To reach further with energy efficiency measures for construction sites, an increase in knowledge of which factors contribute to the energy use is required. Subsequently making it possible to identify measures and requirements of new more energy-efficient technology and to ensure continuing follow-ups on action plans with better procedures.

The project is based on a LÅGAN and SBUF project (2021) in which a measurement plan was developed. The measurement plan is applied and further developed on 12 construction sites. This increases knowledge about energy use for various activities, enabling key performance factors to be derived and ensuring an effective work process concerning energy efficiency measures.

This also forms the foundation of a measurement standard ensuring that energy efficiency measures continue. The collaboration with participants from 13 organizations within the construction sector provides optimal conditions for improvements to actually be implemented and carried ou
