Throughout northern Europe, there is a very large stock of high-energy housing built between 1950 and 1980, which does not meet current and future requirements.
In order to achieve a climate-neutral construction sector by 2045, the existing building stock needs to sharply reduce its energy use and increase the share of renewable energy. Energy efficiency takes place in connection with renovation.
At present, there are not enough cost-effective solutions, mainly due to that mass production of renovation packages is not available. In the InterReg project INDU-ZERO, industrial solutions for this have been explored.
To realize these plans, it is now up to the market players to develop, establish INDU-ZERO factories and processes to deliver sustainable renovation solutions on the market.
This feasibility study aims at both in-depth technology studies, business development and stakeholder dialogues with the aim of establishing an INDU-ZERO industry in Sweden to deliver to the Nordic market.
