Innovation cluster for sustainable transport biofuels

The overarching goal of the innovation cluster for sustainable transport biofuels is to contribute to the actual and fast transition to renewable fuels, to improve the transport sector’s possibilities for reaching climate and sustainability targets until 2030 and 2045. By developing collaboration, increasing knowledge and facilitate the development of new cooperative consortia, the cluster will contribute to lowering the barriers for increased use and resource efficient production of sustainable biofuels in Sweden.

The cluster will engage in internal collaboration to identify barriers, key issues and potential solutions; overall knowledge dissemination and communication broadly directed towards societal stakeholders; external monitoring and knowledge status updates; and international collaboration.

So far, 17 stakeholders, representing industry (e.g. forest, fuel, vehicle, freight and energy sectors) committed to membership. The cluster will be managed by Chalmers Industriteknik
