Standardization of solid fuels

Within the project standards for solid fuels are being developed.

SIS/TK 412 is a reference forum for Swedish participation in regional and international work with standardization (CEN/ISO) within solid biofuels and solid recovered fuels (SRF).

Sweden is responsible for European and the technical committees for Solid biofuels (CEN/TC 335 and ISO/TC 238), as well as for three working groups: ISO/TC 238/WG 7 Safety of solid biofuels, ISO/TC 300/WG 2 Specification classes of SRF and ISO/TC 300/WG 6 Safety of solid recovered fuels". Certain parts of the standardization are tied to EU mandates.

Swedish national standards for test methods are developed and maintained.

Standardization of solid fuels makes trade and use easier, safer and contribute to an efficient and climate smart energy solution.
