Heavy metals are a major environmental problem in society around the world.

Heavy metals are released into the air, soil and groundwater from industrial process water and from municipal wastewater treatment plants. This affects the health and well-being of humans and wildlife.

The discharges take place through the incineration of sludge residues and ash, through various types of landfills or through discharges to water.

Nordic Renew Resource has a completely new innovation with an associated process which means that it "sucks" heavy metals out of process water and sludge.

This is done without incineration and the process has shown in laboratory tests a degree of purification of more than 99%. This means that the process solves a large and serious environmental problem in society all over the world.

As the process also eliminates the need for incineration of sludge residues, carbon dioxide emissions will also be significantly reduced from an international perspective.
