Emerging perovskites and organic semiconductors-based photovoltaic technologies are promising to transform our energy system. The key challenge to these emerging photovoltaic technologies is their inferior stability. The stability issue comes from a key component in the solar cells, i.e. the charge transport layers.
Our company has solved this challenge by developing and patenting a new generation of charge-transport layers, which help to significantly enhance the solar cells by one order of magnitude and hence bring these emerging photovoltaic technologies much closer to commercialization.
Firmly based on these achievements, this project will focus on two parts: 1) we will identify different segments of the value chain for the commercialization of our materials. 2) We will further reduce the cost of our materials, thus making our materials attractive to photovoltaic companies.
