Grant Description

In this project triplex glass laminates with glazing and energy-generation function will be realized.

By doping light-converting nanoparticles to the polymer inter-layer and attaching solar cells around the perimeter, these building envelope materials can be converted to semi-transparent photovoltaic modules.

The project will move from device testing in the lab to modules ready for real space, improve power conversion efficiency, and characterize them based on industrial standards for laminated glass.
