Climate Neutral Växjö 2030

In 2020 Växjö municipality signed the Climate City Contract, showing the necessary steps to achieve a climate neutral Växjö by 2030. The Climate City Contract and Växjö’s Sustainability Program are the key parts of this project. Växjö municipality with partners will continue the work to develop and implement the Climate City Contract, including the development of a climate investment plan.

Dialogue and cooperation with stakeholders throughout the entire community is crucial in the project.

In the project we dive deeper into production of renewable fuels (hydrogene/biojet), as well as circular economy and reuse, not at least within the building sector. We also want to explore processes for innovation teams, and test these specifically on transports as well as circular economy. There will be a strong regional focus on the sharing of knowledge and experiences.
