The City of Stockholm intends to be a world leader in the global work on Agenda 2030 and in realizing the Paris Agreement's objectives in climate work, where the city takes on the role of an international role model. Stockholm aims to become a fossil-free and climate-positive city by 2040.
The purpose of the project is to provide support for the City of Stockholm in the transition towards achieving climate goals and becoming climate neutral.
Achieving the ambitious goals that the city has decided on requires broad cooperation that combines the city's internal capability with resources and expertise from academia, the private sector, and civil society.
The project, Climate Neutral Stockholm 2030, will function as a platform that supports the city in its strategic work and enables coordination, co-creation and analysis of needs related to the climate work.
