Climate-neutral Gothenburg 2030

Previous experiences and studies show that it is not the lack of technical solutions that limit the possibilities to achieve climate transition, but rather transformative ability and capacity for new system solutions.

The project is therefore based on what kind of transition we believe must take place, what working methods we believe will be required, what competencies and structures this stipulates, and how these should be anchored in the city's organization.

Through an iterative process that moves between knowledge acquisition, synthesis work and testing, the project will increase the understanding and capacity for how to proactively drive a transformation of a complex and advanced society, while increasing employment, strengthening high-tech development and ensuring relevant interaction with citizens.

More specifically, the project will work to develop a climate change function, a citizens' lab and a knowledge-supporting dialogue.
