The development of e-commerce is strong and has gained momentum during the 2020 pandemic. It means opportunities for consumers and opportunities and challenges for society and business, as at the same time the climate change requires system changes with positive contribution. Large investments are planned for e-commerce, which opens up possibilities for shaping systems which contribute to sustainable e-commerce.
How e-commerce is used affects households' overall travel behavior for shopping. Knowledge of these behaviors is needed to identify effective climate change measures regarding energy efficiency for shopping travel. The project creates basis for identifying measures and instruments.
