From parking garages to mobility nodes: business models, behavorial changes and physical transformation”

Malmö’s population is growing rapidly set within a limited area, which require the number of energy efficient transportation modes to increase, while new vehicle sharing solutions as well as integrated mobility services are introduced.

Through pilot projects that aim to test and develop forms of collaboration, physical preconditions in existing parking garages as well as new business models, the project will create possibilities to increase the number of energy efficient transportation modes like walking, biking, public transport and micro mobility, and increase the attractiveness of vehicle sharing services for cars and bikes.

Parkering Malmö will explore new grounds by testing new mobility services, and by relevant and qualified researchers, evaluate the possibilities for parking companies to become active mobility actors.

The excellent constellation of project partners allows for the continuous spreading of results both locally and nationally but also internationally
