Climate neutral Borås 2030

The City of Borås carbon budget states that the emissions has to be reduced by 16% every year.

The local carbon budget includes consumption emissions from both the municipal organization and the emissions from residents.

The Climate neutral Borås 2030 project aims to achieve the required reduction of emission and create a fair and inclusive transition.

To achieve a climate neutral Borås by 2030 the project includes four focus areas: Climate Leadership, Smart Co-creation, Brave Mobility and Durable Constructions.

Within the project, the cross-sectoral innovation team will work to strengthen decision makers in their climate leadership and develop new forms of co-creation with residents of Borås.

The innovation team is responsible for discovering synergies and initiate new projects to reduce the climate impact of Borås. Feasible actions will be available in a digital project portfolio. The innovation team will provide an annual climate contract and a climate investment plan.
