Climate-Neutral Nacka 2030

The overall aim of the project is to strengthen the conditions for local planning to develop and implement innovative ideas and transformative solutions that contribute to realizing established sustainability goals and combatting climate change.

The project has three specific objectives: (i) to identify, develop, and test solutions that contribute to a naturban urban development, (ii) to create new knowledge regarding how governance and forms for cooperation can empower sustainability transitions, and (iii) to increase the understanding of how local planning processes can be organized to safeguard quality and sustainability in plan and project development.

By mobilizing actors and knowledge domains in a co-production process, a cohesive portfolio of solutions is generated through activities in four work-packages.

The project holds the potential to become an international flagship for how sustainable urban development can accelerate and amplify a transition towards climate-neutrality.
