The purpose of the application is to develop an implementation method and decision support for circular business models in manufacturing industry.
Swedish manufacturing industry face a major challenge in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving energy and resource efficiency.
However, reduced emissions and increased resource efficiency are strongly contingent on successful implementation of circular business models. However, such business models are complex and require major changes in how companies create, deliver and capture value.
Successful implementation also requires ecosystem collaboration outside the traditional value chain, among manufacturing companies, machine suppliers, service partners and customers.
The project results in new knowledge about the problems and barriers that arise during implementation, and about how these barriers can be managed through changes in organization, new ways of working, and by the development of new types of capabilities.
