This project aims to contribute to increase the understanding of the role of energy efficiency, conservation and material

efficiency for sustainable energy transition pathways in the Nordic countries. The work will therefore build on previous and ongoing quantitative and qualitative projects, complementing techno-economic scenario pathways with socio-institutional approaches. This broad methodological approach will result in more robust assessments, and in a deeper understanding of uncertainties, alternatives and contextual frameworks.The Swedish Energy Agency assesses that the project contributes to the call's goals.
