To succeed in reaching sustainability goals, the greenhouse gas emissions from transports needs to significantly decrease. Transport and energy efficiency can be achieved through smarter and better coordination.
Within this project, pilot tests for last mile soultions with HCT-vehicles between Hallsberg terminal and logistics areas in the Örebro region will be executed.
The goal is to retrieve more information about technical and economic efficiency, environmental sustainability and traffic safety.
The expectations are an improved knowledge base for future political decisions regarding the implementation of HCT-vehicles.
The purpose of such implementation would be to strengthen multimodal freight and to make the last mile more energy efficient.
In addition to the pilot tests on road, systems analysis of the logistics and system effects will be performed, both on a subsystem level and in the multimodal transportation chain between the Port of Gothenburg and the Örebro region.
