The objectives for PROWIND is to de-risk the whole rock adaptor design process and have a complete new rock adaptor concept ready for the market in terms of components reliability and survivability that proposes new materials and design solutions that goes beyond current practices.

It has also been observed that the interface due diligence process is somewhat unclear and existing standards that are being used to set the requirements for rock anchors mainly deals with the upper part of the anchor and not the fixation in the rock.

The project will also facilitate the sector with guidelines for better understanding of the standards as well as design tools for implementation.
