Climate neutral Enköping 2030

The project aims for the municipality of Enköping to be climate neutral in 2030, with a good life for all citizens. This requires a joint work between municipality, citizens, businesses and organizations. The work demands persistence, innovation and participation. Enköping here continues the work initiated in its first phase 2019 to 2021. The a "climate contract" was established, specifying goals and efforts for climate adaptation.

The project has five work packages. The first is a lead function. The three following cover aspects of society: the built environment, energy and collaboration between groups.

Included here are also issues of mobility and digitalization. The fifth, the ”Enköping model” is about making this process accessible for other smaller municipalities. Each work package is divided into a number of sub-projects with different character and scope, selected to jointly answer to the specific needs of Enköping.
