Demonstration of how a Smart Solar Park profitably offers ancillary services which enables an increased share of solar in the energymix without compromising on electricity security.
This project shows how controllable inverters, batteries and ultracapacitors connected to innovative AI-powered controlsystems can create a Smart Solar Park.
Some of these ancillary services have established revenue models and markets, but the project also intends to evaluate the potential of and commercialize new services to address issues concerning insufficient quality of electricity supply. The components have not been configured, tested, and demonstrated with a solar park on a larger scale.
This is estimated to enable up to 20 GW of solar power in Sweden.
This type of innovation is universal and can be exported to increase the profitability of solar power, reduce the cost of ancillary services, facilitate the implementation of more varied electricity production and accelerate the energy transition.
