Seasonal underground high temperature thermal storage

The purpose of this project is to show that a new type of underground high temperature heat storage is working and can return high temperature seasonal stored waste heat. If the technology works, it should be connected to a district in Linköping and wintertime heat it with stored heat.

The goal of the project is to show that the thermal seasonal storage technology can deliver output temperatures above 65°C (heat that can be directly used in properties without a heat pump). As well as identifying materials and analysis/measurement and control systems. The project is carried out together with customer for 16 months.
