The project will develop, implement a painting and surface treatment service that is resource and climate efficient compared to traditional painting services. Through the project, the transition from resource-intensive to resource-efficient painting execution will be accelerated and scaled up to the entire industry. The work will be carried out together with important players in the entire value chain - ie product suppliers (Flügger), painting companies (Schööns Måleri), property owners (Stena Fastigheter and JM) and industry associations (Måleriföretagen i Sverige and Sveriges Färg och Lim Företagare.
Needs for renovation and construction of new properties increase every year. The number of surface layers to be treated increases regardless of whether a property is renovated, reused or newly produced. The painting industry accounts for an estimated 15,000,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. An upscaling and roll-out of ”Framtidens Måleri” has great potential to significantly reduce resource
