The reserach will treat and contribute to solving the understanding of planning, design and evaluation of physical environments that have been labelled as Emotional Architecture (Goeritz 1954), to determine light´s potential through a phenomenological approach and promote human wellbeing & health on a post-pandemic use of spaces.
The project will use diverse proven research methods used on architecture & lighting theories in connection with technology. The aim is to understand quantitative & qualitative impact of lighting (natural & artificial) on how spaces perform and are perceived. It integrates neuroarchitecture as a method of research to map and comprehend the impact that lighting has in users in relation to the built environment for the benefit of mental and physical wellbeing.
