Sustainable municipal maintenance planning with connected vehicle data

Our service enables the usage of data accumulated by connected vehicles for long-term maintenance planning of municipal roads.

Data from connected vehicles are used to address critical repair requirements, implement safety considerations, and optimize the municipal maintenance budget and strategic planning objectives. Our maintenance plan will also recommended road treatments based on their carbon dioxide emissions.

Our preliminary research indicates that it is possible to significantly reduce CO2 emissions by ensuring that minimizing environmental impact is a paramount objective of the maintenance plan. Our plan will also incorporate decisions influencing gender equality and socio-economic sustainability.

Finally, greater efficiency can be gained by improving departmental coordination,e.g. aligning road maintenance with water, wastewater or storm water networks or district heating.
