Grant Description

The purpose of the project is to build up knowledge and competence around the storage of thermal energy.

The project is conducted as a part of a Ph.D-education and will explore thermo-photovoltaic conversion to electricity by developing new more efficient thermo-photovoltaic cells and investigate various environmentally friendly energy storage materials with the aim of constructing a lab-scale demonstration system.

The project will also produce knowledge about how these storage systems could be used in the electricity system of the future.
